2022 Volunteer of Distinction Award Nominations

The Volunteer of Distinction awards celebrate the academic achievements of undergraduate and graduate students who will receive their degrees in 2022. The recipients for the following award categories will be recognized in the spring.

Extraordinary Academic Achievement

• This award honors the academic achievement of undergraduate students receiving their degrees in 2022. Persons wishing to nominate students for this award should submit the form below. Nominations will be reviewed by the academic dean of the nominee’s college.

Extraordinary Professional Promise

• This award honors the professional promise of undergraduate students receiving their degrees in 2022, and the professional promise in teaching, research or other contributions of graduate students receiving their degrees in 2022. Persons wishing to nominate students for this award should submit the form below. Nominations will be reviewed by the academic dean of the nominee’s college.
  • Graduates in all academic colleges are eligible, including the College of Veterinary Medicine and Bredesen Center for Interdisciplinary Research and Graduate Education.

Outstanding Scholar Athlete

• This award honors student athletes who have excelled in the classroom and will receive their degrees in 2022. This award has no public nomination process; all nominees are submitted by the Thornton Athletics Student Life Center to the Office of the Provost for consideration.

Top Collegiate Scholars

• Top Collegiate Scholars are seniors who will receive their degrees in 2022 and hold the highest GPAs in their colleges. Recipients are determined by the Office of the University Registrar. This award does not have a nomination form.
