The University of Tennessee, Knoxville’s Commission for Women is seeking nominations for its Rising UT Woman Awards.
The award recognizes a woman in the early stages of her professional path who has made great strides in her area and shows exceptional promise for future accomplishments. The award is designed to recognize, on a rotating basis, (i) undergraduate students, (ii) early career staff [exempt and non-exempt, below the level of director], (iii) graduate students, and (iv) early career faculty [non-tenure track and tenure-track faculty at the level of assistant professor or lecturer or equivalent].
For the 2021 Rising UT Woman Awards, nominations of early career faculty [non-tenure track and tenure-track faculty at the level of assistant professor or lecturer or equivalent] and undergraduate students are being accepted.
- A woman who is outstanding in her area or field of study
- A woman who has made significant impacts on the university or the broader community and shows great promise for future impacts
Provide a nomination letter and a current CV/resume of the candidate to Kayla Irwin (firstname.lastname@example.org), graduate research assistant for the Commission for Women, by January 22, 2021. Each nomination letter should include the name of the nominator, department or academic program, email address, and phone number. Nominations from students and peers are strongly encouraged.
