Mark Hancock

Mark Hancock is a senior studying political science with a concentration in international affairs. Throughout his time at UT, Mark has advocated for students as the student body vice president and student body president. For the past three years, Mark has also served in the Tennessee Army National Guard.

What does being a Volunteer mean to you? How has UT empowered you to make a difference in a way you might not have imagined elsewhere?

“To me, a Volunteer is someone who steps up and lights the way for others, even when it may be difficult. The ideals and values of the University of Tennessee have empowered me to be a leader, in any setting that I am in.”

What are your plans for after graduation?

“Following graduation, I will be commissioning into the United States Army as a Second Lieutenant, Armor Officer.”
