2020 LGBTQ Advocate Award

The LGBTQ Advocate Award recognizes a faculty member, staff member, or student who demonstrates a commitment to advancing lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender issues on campus.

Rebecca MorganPhysician Rebecca Morgan is completing her 22nd year at the UT Student Health Center. Board certified in family medicine and sports medicine, she has been providing affirming medical care to trans, nonbinary, and gender-nonconforming students since 2013 through the center’s Gender Clinic, which she founded. She enjoys working with her colleagues in the university community to make the campus culture inclusive and supportive for all.

What does this award mean to you?

This award is very humbling. I am so grateful for this recognition but am also very conscious that I am able to accomplish things only with the help and support of my colleagues and friends.
