Ready for the World honors those who enhance intercultural and international awareness of students and the campus community.
Lane Morris
Lane Morris serves as associate dean of undergraduate programs and student affairs in the Haslam College of Business. He is responsible for spearheading many international initiatives that have helped make UT students “ready for the world.” Morris’s leadership includes the formation of the college’s international office, which expanded international programming and funding opportunities for business students. In a single year, this office increased the number of business undergraduates studying abroad by 5 percent. As former director of the Greg and Lisa Smith Global Scholarship Program, Morris has been instrumental in the development and success of the semester-long academic and professional experience in London, where he also teaches a management class. In the words of a colleague, he “truly represents the passion for the Ready for the World initiative.”
